IT Pro Momentum Program

It was first week of August when I received a kit from Microsoft. I haven't subscribe for a kit, except for architecture's magazine, but to my amaze, I received a toolkit as part of their appreciation to all who participate it Microsoft IT Pro Momentum Program. So what was it? It was actually a program where all participants try to test Microsoft technologies, depending on available platform they offer. I knew it when Phiwug conducted one of their biggest seminar which is Meeting the MVP's and they also introduced Maria Johansson who introduced about the IT Pro Momentum. So I tried to emailed her and was interested with Virtualization and Vista Security. It was almost I think more than 2-month project. Although I am quite busy at work and studies, I still tried to focus on what I have requested. The project was posted on http://www.msairframe.com/ . I think you must have a link in order to be part of the participants who will try to test and deploy Microsoft technologies. It was fun, and a lot of experience, because you must make a lot of researches before going to another phase of the project, from Envisioning, to Planning, to Develop, to Stabilize, and lastly to Deploy. Any details of the project must be submitted from there or to Maria Johansson. Well, I think a computer kit is worthwile from participating aside from the learning I've gained. Thanks Microsoft!

My Microsoft Student Partner Program

It was Monday, last week of July when I received an email message from Ms. Tin, one of the evangelist of Microsoft Philippines, and inviting me on an emergency meeting on Microsoft Student Partner's Program. I replied and telling them maybe I am not included in the list because I was still on the process of applying on MSP. But I said, Wow!, I was included in the list. So last August 02, 2007, I never expected that I was one of the new Microsoft Student Partner and it was even included on the slide presentation of Mr. Tim! It was an exhausting day to add the fact that we also have an EB at Glorietta 1 with the Philippine SQL Server User Group after the meeting with the MSP. I can't believe it, it was one of my dreams to become part of a Microsoft program. Actually, it started when I knew msforums and msevents for awhile last year. I didn't even thought that there is a forum out there for Microsoft Philippines who loves passion with technology and other related stuff! Then that started me to excel and enjoy their technology with lots of people around you who can share your passion. Again, as a new MSP, I promised to myself I will do my very best because I love it, and I know I will enjoy my stay as an MSP. I don't look for incentives (although it's part of it) but one thing I am looking for sure with this program, the experience of being part with Microsoft success on their technology, bringing people's skills to the limit!
